負けた言い訳 試合に負けたときの言い訳集。トッププロもいろいろ言ってます。

17日のインディアン・ウエールズのベスト16決め。ドナルド・ヤング（米）がナダルに1-6、3-6で完敗です。

言い訳：

●「こんなものではないですか。対戦相手はランキング２位で自分は86位くらい。振り返ってみると最初はかなり神経質になってました、スタジアムで２位とプレーするのは初めてのことで大観衆でしたし。もちろんたくさんの人の前でプレーするのは初めてではないですけれど、２位との対戦は初めてですから。第二セットに入って少しプレーが良くなって、いくつかチャンスもあったのですが心配しすぎてしまってミスショットをやってしまった。とはいえまずまずの出来だったと思いますよ。」：”It's okay. Played the No. 2 player in the world, so I'm like 86. But overall, you know, it was the first -- obviously I was really nervous, you know, first time playing No. 2 in the world on Stadium Court, a lot of people there. Not the first time I played in front of a lot of people, but it's first time I played No. 2 in the world. Second set I felt like I played a little better, I felt I had a couple chances, got a little overanxious and missed a shot. But overall I felt it was pretty decent."

●「(第二セットの最初の２ゲームを簡単に取れたのは)何か試したりせずとにかくサーブを入れたことでしょうか---彼はセカンド・サーブでネットを取りにくるような選手ではないですし...つまりボールを入れてプレーに入って、ポイントを取り始めること、ただでポイントをあげたりとかセカンドサーブをたくさん打つことにならないように心がけました。」："Just get the serve in and not try -- he's not a player who's going to attack your second or serve like that, but... Yeah, just put it in play, start the point, don't just give free few points or a lot of second serves."


●「（第二セット2-4のナダルのサーブで0-30まで持ち込めたあとで２発連続ミスしたことについて）そのときプレッシャーを感じていたのかは分からないけれど、たぶんただ単純にそのゲームに勝ちたかったという思いだけでボールをきちんと打てなかっただろうと思います。ただボールを入れてプレーに入りたかった。原因をプレッシャーと言ってもらってもかまいませんよ--僕はそうは思いませんけれど。」："I don't know if I was feeling the pressure, probably just wanted to win the game so bad that I didn't -- didn't hit the ball. I just wanted to put it in play. But I guess you can call it -- I wouldn't really call it the pressure, though."


●「ジュニア時代はほとんど誰よりも良いプレーをしていました。で、こんどはプロツアーに参戦して２位と戦うとなると自分は良い選手ではない、多分勝てない、けれどそれでもその試合を良いショーにする必要はあるんですよ。ただ試合してダンゴで負けるわけにはいかない、とはいえ既にそうしたことを一回やってしまったけれどね。そういう意味においていえば、第一セットで１ゲームでもとれたのには満足しています、ゲームを勝ち取るというのは違ったけれど。実際には今日の試合に勝ちたかったし良いプレーもしたかった、でもそうはならなかった、そうしたことが今日の試合でおきたんです。」："When I'm playing juniors usually better most of them. So I go out here and play the No. 2 player in the world and you're not better, you're not supposed to win, but you want to put on a good show. You don't want to go out there and just get beat 0-0, kind of like I've already have happen.
I was really happy to get the game the first set, but it wasn't about getting games. I wanted to actually win the match and play well, but it didn't go that way, and that's what happened."

●「第一セットが終わったあとで、これで試合は終わったなとは思いませんでした。第二セットを始めてチャンスがいくつかあったときにはもし自分が十分良いプレーをしその調子をキープできるなら第二セットはとれると感じ、そうなるかどうか様子を見ようと思いました。」："After the first set I didn't think the match was over. Once I started playing the second and had opportunities, I felt if I would have played well enough and kept playing my level I could have possibly won the set and just see wherever it would take me."

●「トップクラスの選手はただでポイントはくれないですね。感情もあまり見せないし。あとほら、彼らがコートに出てくるとオーラがあるでしょ。80位とか70位の選手とは違いますよ。存在感があって格下選手やジュニアとは大きく違いますね。そのうえ彼らの試合がテレビ放映されていることも大きい。」："They don't give you free points, they don't show too much emotion. Or, you know, it's just the aura you feel when you go out there with the guys. It's different from somebody 80 or 70 in the world.
They have a presence on the court that's a lot different from, you know, a challenger player or junior player. And then you see them on TV all the time, so that definitely helps. "


言い訳的には「負けてもしょうがないよ」とあっさり感ただようコメントでしたが、こんなものなんでしょうか。英語的には自分より強い選手と対戦する際の心構えもいろいろあったので勉強になりました："Just get the serve in"とか、 "just put it in play, start the point, don't just give free few points or a lot of second serves."等々おもいあたることばかり。
